Terms of use

1. Our service

FindBack helps people who found something meet people who lost it. It is free, with no fees, and runs on voluntary donations. We do not hold, deliver or guarantee the return of any item.

2. Your account

You sign in with your own Google or LINE account and are responsible for activity on it.

3. What you post

• It must be true and about an item that was really lost or found.
• No illegal items, selling, advertising, spam or scams.
• No sensitive data such as religion, health or criminal records (Thai ID cards show religion, so cover it before posting a photo).
• Don't expose other people's personal data beyond what is needed, for example cover ID numbers or addresses in photos of documents.
• You keep ownership of your content and allow FindBack to display it, resize photos and let others share it, to help items get back to their owners.

4. Returning items

• Meet in a public place or at a police station.
• Never transfer money before you get your item. FindBack never asks for money by chat or phone.
• The person collecting should show proof of ownership. Any reward is an agreement between users.
• By law, a finder should return lost property to its owner or hand it to the police, especially official documents, valuables and licence plates.

5. Moderation

Users can report inappropriate posts. Anyone whose rights are infringed can ask for content to be removed via the report button or "Contact the team". We review and promptly remove content that is illegal or breaks these terms, and may suspend accounts without notice.

6. Donations

Support payments cover the costs of running the site (servers, domain, development). They are voluntary contributions, not charitable donations or purchases, give no special rights, and are non-refundable.

7. Limitation of liability

FindBack is provided as is. We do not guarantee that items will be returned and are not responsible for losses arising from contact or meetings between users, or for the accuracy of user content, except where the loss is caused by our wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

8. Leaving the service

You can stop using FindBack and delete your account at any time from your profile. Your data is then deleted as described in the privacy policy.

9. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms from time to time. Continuing to use the site after the effective date means you accept them. These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand.
